Roger served as Crew Chief of F104C-5 56-923 of the 436TFS, 479TFW, Tactical Air Command, George Air Force Base, California, from 1958 to 1962.
Roger served as chief, Technical Support, on the World Wide Military Command and Control System at Strategic Air Command headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. After serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, Roger retired in 1978.
